At Earth Class Mail, we believe people are the foundation of building a great business--and our team members are our greatest assets. Lucky for us, we have some impressive team members on our roster.
It takes a lot of people with various skills to make the Earth Class Mail experience what it is. From building data models to managing mobile app operations, we all work together to go beyond customer expectations.
As we continue to innovate and grow, we wanted to introduce you to the newest “Mailers” (we’ll work on that nickname…). We asked our four newest team members a few questions, so you can get to know a handful of people who are behind-the-scenes making Earth Class Mail one of the top virtual mailbox and virtual address providers.
Priyanshi Agrawal, Senior Data Analyst
Priyanshi is on our Business Intelligence/Data Operations team at Earth Class Mail. In her new role, she will be contributing data-driven decision-making for the business, as well as optimizing and automating our current business processes.
What are a few goals you'd like to accomplish in life or while at ECM?
I honestly love working in an entrepreneurial work culture, I want to get out of my comfort zone and try my hands on different areas of business allowing me to add several new skills to my existing skillset.
I am an empathy-driven person so I definitely want to utilize this innate quality in me to understand the needs of society and our customers and empower them with optimum solutions to their problems utilizing data and science.
What's your go-to productivity trick?
Institute 50/10 rule throughout the day. Work without distraction with optimum focus for 50 minutes then take a 10-minute break
Following the Eisenhower Matrix allows me to prioritize tasks and wisely manage my time.
What are your hobbies outside of ECM?
I like engaging in psychological thrillers, documentaries, or listening to Bollywood music while strolling around. I also like to keep myself updated with current affairs whether in technology or other by reading blogs, articles, seminars. My stress buster would be playing fun board games or having sound intellectual conversations with family and friends.
Shawn Friel, Vice President of Growth
Shawn joined to lead our Growth team, where he is responsible for driving revenue through improving awareness, conversion, and retention. He oversees a large department that helps shape the Earth Class Mail experience for our customers.
What are a few goals you'd like to accomplish in life or while at ECM?
I would like to compete and win in the Amazing Race. If that doesn't happen, I would like to finish the World's Toughest Race.
What's your go-to productivity trick?
When I hit a mental roadblock, exercising or taking a nap usually helps me clear my head and think through a problem.
What are your hobbies outside of ECM?
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, and hiking or biking on trails.
What's an interesting fact about yourself?
My wife and I adopted children through foster care internationally.
What are three items you'd take with you to a deserted island?
I typically try to avoid deserted islands. If I found myself stranded on one, I would bring scuba gear, Wilson (a volleyball), and pizza.
Tyler Brown, Cyber Security Intern
Tyler is a new member of our Infrastructure team at Earth Class Mail. He will be keeping us up to speed on (security) compliances to ensure world-class security to keep customer and employee data safe, secure, and adherent to requirements from the payment card industry to cloud operations.
What are your hobbies outside of ECM?
I’m an avid powerlifter and in the process of switching to Strong Man in hopes of competing locally. I also like to learn programming languages and study different vulnerability exploitation processes.
What's an interesting fact about yourself?
I never thought I would be interested in computers at all. I felt unchallenged in a lot of the other potential careers that I pursued. When I started my first introductory classes with computers, I noticed just how much there is to learn in the broad scope of Computer Science. Ever since then I've been a computer nerd and have enjoyed tackling all the complex challenges I've encountered.
What are three items you'd take with you to a deserted island?
As a veteran, this is a hard question. Probably my woobie (military issue snuggle blanket), a large cup, and an axe or something to that effect
Vural Cifci, Vice President of New Business
Vural is now a part of our Emerging team, where he will be leading Earth Class Mail’s Mobile App operations and working to find new revenue streams. He will be leading the charge on creating a world-class mobile experience for our customers.
What are a few goals you'd like to accomplish in life or while at ECM?
While at ECM, I want to build a mobile team and mobile-first products for ECM.
What's your go-to productivity trick?
Pick up the phone or send an instant message whenever I have a question.
What are your hobbies outside of ECM?
Football, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and cleaning the house.
What's an interesting fact about yourself?
I have a mild case of OCD, I really don't like it when people touch my things, change the order or move things around, and/or not return as they find it in the first place.
What are three items you'd take with you to a deserted island?
Absolutely nothing, if I'm on a deserted island, it's for a reason.
